Join Us In Worship On Sundays! 9:30am - Small Group Discussion | 11:00am - Time Together Maybe you didn't know, but The Salvation Army is a Christian organization. In addition to all of the programs we offer to the community, we come together on Sundays to share with one another and build our relationship with God. Back in 1865 The Salvation Army was started by a Methodist Minister called William Booth. During his lifetime, the cities of England were difficult places to live and from the beginning of The Salvation Army, members and friends, have worked together to find creative solutions to the challenges people face, both physical and spiritual. Every Sunday there are two small groups that meet at 9:30am to learn, laugh, listen to each other. The small groups discuss important and interesting spiritual issues, and our children spend their own special time playing and learning in our youth room. Every 3rd Sunday of the month, we close our books and eat a big breakfast together. At 11:00am we all meet together in the auditorium to sing, pray, and listen to a talk from the Corps Officers or a guest speaker. We learn about how the life and words of Jesus can help transform our lives. Sundays are informal at the Glendale Corps. Some people are members of the church and wear a uniform, others come in jeans and a t-shirt. When we eat breakfast together, it is best to bring an appetite. On the 2nd Sunday of each month at 1:00pm some of us go to retirement homes to spend time with people who can't come to our facility. We are always looking for ways to care for other people in the community. We'd love to see you on Sunday so feel free to come at 9:30am and join us in a small group or for breakfast. Bring your kids, and they will have fun as well. If you can only come at 11:00am, feel free to come in and join us for our Time Together.
